Hermit Crabs

As the hermit crab grows in size, it must find a larger shell and abandon the previous one. Hence the name. Caribbean, Australian, and the Ecuadorian hermit crabs are commonly kept as pets. A baby crab is called a zoea. Baby hermit crabs are born in the water but they adapt to life on land as they grow.
