The Orchid Mantis Nymphs are clever insects and are masters of camouflage at every stage of life. The first instar of these are dark orange and black in color. These mantis change color in days, based on the environment. As adults these species have lobes on its legs that mimic flower petals. Some of them are completely white and pink.
They displays greatest sexual dimorphism of all the types of mantises.
Females are double the size of the males.
Nymph walk around disguising as a dangerous species of ant, walking on all six legs. It hold its abdomens curled over and moves with an ant-like motion.
